Buying in Seabrook

What should buyers know about Seabrook?

Looking for a mortgage in Seabrook, NH? Tom MacDonald, a loan officer with Elite Mortgage Group, helps buyers and homeowners in Seabrook and nearby towns with purchase loans, refinancing and pre-approvals, comparing options from 45 lenders. Seabrook's 2025 total property tax rate is $12.40 per $1,000 of assessed value (NH DRA). See every Rockingham County town's rate.

Seabrook is the first New Hampshire town on Interstate 95 northbound, on the Massachusetts line at the southern end of the coast. Route 1 (Lafayette Road) runs through the middle of town, Route 107 heads west from Route 1, and Seabrook Beach fills the eastern end of town along the Atlantic, with Route 286 running from the beach into Massachusetts. Its rivers drain to Hampton Harbor.

Seabrook's housing is more mixed than most coastal towns. Census estimates put about half of its roughly 4,150 housing units in detached single-family homes, about 18% in manufactured homes, about 17% in buildings with five or more units and about 10% in two- to four-unit buildings, and some homes near the beach are seasonal. Conventional, FHA, VA and 2 to 4 unit loans could fit many of these homes, depending on the property and the borrower's plans.
