FHA-approved condo complexes in southern New Hampshire
As of November 2, 2026, HUD lists 110 condo complexes in Hillsborough, Rockingham, Merrimack and Strafford counties as approved for FHA loans. Derry, Manchester, Hudson and Nashua have the most. Approval belongs to the whole complex, not the unit, and it expires, so Tom checks HUD's list again before you write an FHA offer.

How do I know if a condo in New Hampshire is FHA-approved?
Look the complex up on HUD's FHA Condominiums search: choose New Hampshire, status Approved, then a county or city. The list on this page is the same HUD data for four southern NH counties, checked November 2, 2026. Approval can change, so Tom checks HUD's list again before you write an FHA offer.
What happens if a condo's FHA approval expires before closing?
Approval belongs to the whole complex and has an end date. If it lapses, the association has to recertify before an FHA loan in that complex can close, which can delay or derail an FHA purchase. Complexes marked "renewal due soon" are close to their date, so ask Tom to check before you sign.
Can I get an FHA loan on a condo that isn't on HUD's list?
Sometimes. FHA's single-unit approval can work for some units in complexes that aren't approved, if the complex meets a shorter list of HUD standards. The condo financing guide explains it, and Tom can tell you which route fits a specific unit.
